Our Methodology

Our expertise is reflected in the Continuity First methodology, which is based on industry standards, best practices and extensive experience. Each element builds upon the other to increase our clients ability to handle any business disruption or disaster.

The elements of our methodology are:

Establish: Identifies key stakeholders and participants for the effort, defines policies based on the needs of the business, and frames the scope of the program.

Assess: Analyzes the current capabilities of the client against industry and Continuity First best practices. Some of the efforts included in this phase include identifying current risks, gathering business and technical operations information for plans, and information on current plans to respond to a crisis.

Design: Takes the analysis performed in the Assess element and creates strategies and plans based on industry and Continuity First best practices.

Implement and Exercise: This includes releasing plans to the organization and educating stakeholders and performers on their actions during a business disruption. It also includes technology insertion, new processes and procedures and simulation exercises that allow performers to practice their skills while identifying opportunities to improve the program.

Maintain: Periodic validation and necessary updates to the program that reflect the continued evolution of the client's business.
